"My daughter has attended Little Semlin for three years and it has been an incredibly positive experience. The teachers are caring and attentive - they really see each child individually and nurture their unique needs and interests. The school offers a positively structured learning environment, but also lots of fun experiences, field trips, and visiting teachers (e.g. music). Spaces are kept very clean and tidy and they have a large, enclosed outdoor space for the kids to play.
One of the added benefits has been the strong sense of community the school has fostered. It has been a pleasure getting to know other parents and families over the years, and we've made meaningful connections through the school.

One of the things that sets Little Semlin Montessori apart is the consistency of the teaching staff. There has been remarkably little turnover, which has allowed the teachers to build genuine relationships with each child. They truly know our son—his personality, his strengths, and the areas where he needs encouragement—and they have supported his growth every step of the way.
The Montessori approach has had an incredible impact on his development. We’ve watched his independence grow tremendously, and his literacy and numeracy skills are far beyond what we expected at this age. When our son struggled with starting daycare, the teachers approached the situation with empathy, patience, and thoughtfulness. What we have appreciated just as much is their deep understanding of child development. The educators at Little Semlin Montessori have realistic, age-appropriate expectations for children between 2½ and 5 years old. They never overreacted to normal childhood behaviours or expected children to be “perfect.”
Watching our son grow into a confident, capable, and kind little person has been incredibly rewarding, and Little Semlin Montessori has played an enormous role in that journey.
